Cannot insert image

Post by Deblus »

I am using CMS 1.0.8 "Kona" and FCKEditorX 1.0.5

I can upload images successfully using my pc or laptop but can only insert images using the laptop

the pc cannot see / find the folder for the images when I choose the browse server button

Both machines use Firefox 2.0.0.14, with the same addons I have checked firewall settings and cannot see any reasons why this would happen

I have read over 100 posts here with similar issues but cannot see a solution.

Does anyone have any suggestions please

Good advice Mark thanks

I have been happy running my site and have not been back here for awhile and did not realise I was a few upgrades behind.

I have now upgraded

but I still have the problem with image uploads not working on one computer, any ideas on this

one computer mean that the upload works at other computers?
What's the size of that file you trying to upload?
Some Server support just 2MB per file, have you tried another file?

to clarify

I can upload from either computer ok

I can only insert using FCKeditor from one even though both have nearly identical setups

there are numerous other posts here over the last couple of years reporting the same problem, but I cannot find an answer to any so far

I'm surprised FCK even works still...

What browser are you using that is giving the problem?...

EDIT: Whoops, guess I should read better?... ;)

as stated in my first post

Firefox 2.0.0.14

If I don't use FCK which works fine for me with limited HTML skill what do I use?
