Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[SOLVED] installation issue with CMS easy---permissions checked

Post by WebGoddess »

Operating System: Linux
PHP Version: PHP 5.x

I have a site hosted on godaddy and I get the following error:

Warning: require_once(/home/content/w/i/n/windycityseals/html/lib/misc.functions.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/w/i/n/windycityseals/html/index.php on line 46

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/content/w/i/n/windycityseals/html/lib/misc.functions.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/content/w/i/n/windycityseals/html/index.php on line 46

I have checked permissions and everything seems to be in order, however, I can't bring up the index.php. If anyone has an idea, I'd appreciate the input.
Thanks
WebGoddess

I think you had an upload problem.

If you look for that file, it's probably not there.

Try uploading again.

Hello,

you don't tell :
-your CMSms version,
-the install method/guide,
-the steps to reproduce,
hence you don't follow the forum rules :(

May be http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/FTP_program but with no information I can't tell.
Try to host some static files, then CMSms install wizard.

The CMS ME was v. 1.3.1
I was following the quick install via ftp instructions.

What do you mean the steps to reproduce? I tried to reupload the files again as suggest above and got the same error.
I'm trying my best here to follow the rules. But if I'm missing something, my apologies.

Short of dna, what else do you want?

The last version I see on http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/frs/?group_id=6 is "1.3". Is "1.3.1" a typo or what ? And by "ME" do you mean "MLE fork" ?

FTP install, ok. So which FTP tool ? The knowing to work I've linked to above ?

And how are doing static html files there ? Some simple phpecho/info..?

I changed my ftp software. I was using Cute FTP Pro when I was getting the errors and used my hosting FTP applet and everything downloaded and installed. Thank you all for your assistance!
Kind regards
