Newbie! Have page outside 'cmsmadesimple' folder

Post by tortle2 »

Hey ya'll,

First of all, I just wanna say what a great product this is shaping up to be for me, and with such an amazing support community, I feel I'll be able to utilise it very well. Especially since I'm still finding my way around all the craziness that is, the web!

So, what I'm stuck on at the moment is this:

I just wanna change the wording on the bottom of the admin pages, which reads 'CMS Made Simple is free software released under the General Public Licence.' to 'CMS Made Simple is software released under the General Public Licence.' i.e. I just want to remove the word 'free'.

I found the file to modify for the login page, but not the rest of the admin pages.

Secondly;

I'm trying to get me head around page locations. Cut a long story short, currently, the address to me test page sit as follows:

http://www.mysite.com.au/client/cmsmade ... ?page=test

I'm not fussed bout the 'page=test' bit, I think I can work out how to adjust that, but what I want to work out is how to have the page outside the cmsmadesimple folder, as follows:

http://www.mysite.com.au/client/index.php?page=test

(addresses changed for security)

I hope this makes sense, and I'm sure the solution is simple and logical, but I'm stumped!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jase

You must have uploaded the folder, cmsmadesimple, to your server root...

If you want it to be the root, mysite.com, you need to move it out of the cmsmadesimple folder to your root...

The Documentation has the info on how to do this, easy if your just moving from folder to root...
