Cannot install Modules via FTP

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Cannot install Modules via FTP

Post by nick7777 »

I cannot install a module via FTP (it works via XML).

The documentation says I just have to upload it (unzipped) to the "modules" folder, then go to "extensions-->modules" to install.

But it doesn't show up under "extensions-->modules", though it's definitively uploaded into the correct folder "modules", where the other (already installed) modules are.

What am I doing wrong?

cmsms 1.3
the module is "G2mod"

Edit: Or should I upload it to the "plugins" folder? It is only 1 function.

Confused  ???

Yes, that one is a plugin, not a module - so you would upload it to the plugins folder.
