Newbie question: Adding a calendar / forum / user login page

Post by rwalkerphl »

Hi All,

I am new here, having installed cmsms on a server, and have imported a basic theme. I have also installed a number of modules as well. I would now lile to get forums and a calendar up, and create a member only area.

I am a little confused on this, do I have to create new templates to base a calendar / forum and login page on, or do I somehow hhok the module to the main template and the module takes care of it?

Also, I am also confused on how to add them into the menu.

I have been looking through the documentation, and it is all still a little hazy...

Thanks for any help or documents you can point me to.

Robin.

Hi

I haven't used the calendar or the forum, but that members only area is done using FrontEndUsers & CustomContent:

Nakkiel,

Thanks for the instructions, but I have encountered a problem trying to install the CustomContent module. When I try, I get the message:
Error!
Checksum error. This probably indicates a corrupt file, either when it was uploaded to the repository, or a problem in transit down to your machine.
expected: 0c08924a469d2ac46063f430b7f55501 and got 552d480a4a0d0a35ec9e3ae833420877

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Any help is much appreciated.
