Editor permissions aren't allowing them to publish

Hello

I've set up an editor group but when the person edits a page and presses submit
- it by default sets the page to inactive (which they can change)
- it removes the page from the menu and when they click on the options tab for that page they don't have the 'show in menu' option so i always have to login as admin and check it for them.

The permissions I have given them editor are:
Add Global Content Blocks
Add Pages
Manage Menu
Modify Any Page
Modify Files
Modify News
Modify User-defined Tags
Remove Global Content Blocks
Remove Pages

Are there any more that they should have?

Why not try an upgrade to the latest (bug fixing) supported stable first ? Today it is 1.2.5. It may fix problem if you care.

I suggest you build a test case. A scenario like you describe with goals : X may edit this, not that ; Y may edit that ; Z nothing ; and refining with users inside X, Y and Z. This way you could help ambushing regressions from 1.2.5 to 1.3beta when released. And you get your answer for sure because you tested it works as wished.

If you look at the changelogs on the download page... you'll see where this has been fixed.

Thanks very much for that. It sounds like I need to upgrade.

Do I have to install all the diffs between 1.2 and 1.2.5 (i.e 1.2.1, 1.2.2, 1.2.3 and 1.2.4) or can i go straight to 1.2.5

download, and upload the full version 1.2.5 then go to install/upgrade.php
that way you won't need to fool with all of the diffs.
