Both WYSIWYG editors are broken for me now.

Post by paul.cezanne »

When I go to edit a page, I see the HTML, not the WYSIWYG text. Checking and unchecking the checkbox at the bottom doesn't work, I still see the HTML. I tried both TinyMCE and FCKEditor, both show HTML. I'm on a Macintosh and I've tried this with Safari and Firefox.

Curiously, when I look at a page that has images on it, those images show as broken images.

What have I changed recently? I'm a bluehost.com customer and I have half a dozen CMSms website all hosted in subdirectories. Each has its own mysql database, own users, even their own top-level domains.

Well a few days ago I started the install on a new CMSms site. I have it up and running but I've not done any page changes yet so it is still has the template pages.

I don't see how one site could affect ALL my CMSms sites.

Very confusing, I appreciate any help. Thank you.

Thanks for help tracking it down. Yes, it looks like my ISP changed versions of PHP. I see this in my logfile.

Sadly, my ISP is closed today because of Memorial Day. I don't know how to fix this myself, I guess it will have to wait...

Thanks!

Hello Painter,

well done with the http log. but what about the hosting context and the CMSms version ?
Yes, you should talk with your hosting provider.

Ahhhh, that error that I posted was just a false lead. It turns out that that server is just spewing those errors all over the place.  The tech support person was able to extract the error that I need from the logfile. It is:

[Tue May 27 20:14:50 2008] [error] [client 76.19.231.187] SoftException in Application.cpp:544: Directory "/home/seconds3/public_html/trapeziumtelescopes/cms/modules" is writeable by group, referer: http://trapeziumtelescopes.com/cms/admi ... d=51&page=

[Tue May 27 20:14:50 2008] [error] [client 76.19.231.187] Premature end of script headers: tinyconfig.php, referer: http://trapeziumtelescopes.com/cms/admi ... d=51&page=

[Tue May 27 20:14:50 2008] [error] [client 76.19.231.187] File does not exist: /home/seconds3/public_html/trapeziumtelescopes/500.shtml, referer: http://trapeziumtelescopes.com/cms/admi ... d=51&page=

3 interesting errors here! I wish I knew what to do with them.

I get this error on CMSms 1.2.3 and 1.2.5 (I have more than 1 site that gets this error) and they are hosted by bluehost.com.  (Is that what you meant by hosting context?)

Thank you!  (And thanks for recognizing my famous name!)

I think this one is solved, see http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,22356.0.html.

I'm changing the permissions now, if it doesn't work, I'll be back.
