tracking database access

Post by jmcgin51 »

Is it possible to track database access, specifically a MySQL database accessed via phpMyAdmin?  I want to be able to know who is logging in to the database (username, ip address, time, etc.)

My web host says that phpMyAdmin does not record this information, and that their server logs also do not record this information.

Is there a script that I can install?  This is on shared hosting, so I'm guessing it would have to be something the host would be wiling to install for me.

Thanks for any help.  I tried to Google this subject, but couldn't find any info.
