Upgrading CMS

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Upgrading CMS

Post by point4design »

Hi,

I have a site that has fallen several versions behind (1.0.8). What is the best way to upgrade it to the latest version?

Thanks.

Backup, backup, backup. (files and database)
Read upgrade docs/hints/posts.
Then try 1.0.8 -> 1.1 -> 1.2.5.
Beware old deprecated modules can be uncompatible today.

Thanks, I'm backing up now and then I'll do the upgrade as suggested. I'll let you know if I have any problems.
