Yes... without sounding too brown-nosed, I have to say that that admin theme is the most exciting thing I've seen here!
Hopefully it will be the default theme, with the old one as a secondary selection if users wish.

And all designed by a Geordie as well (Newcastle)... I'm a southerner mate, but I have to say it's a wonderful, wonderful design. :)

Hi,
Your theme looks awesome: very nice, fluid and fresh look.
Again: very good job.

Not all of us Geordie's have design talent. lol  ;D I suck at designing.

Man i can't wait to see this template in the flesh.

Thanks loads again everyone.

I haven't had any time in the last week to work on this, a few larger projects have kept me pinned down.

Hopefully I'll get a good run at it over the next few days to work out the final kinks and get something for you all to play with  ;)

For those noticing my location, I'm not quite a Geordie, originally coming from Sheffield and Nottingham but I take it as a compliment  ;D

Take it easy...

wow this is 100x better than the usual admin panel.

my one vice against CMSms all these years has been the overall brand and look is not very appealing. This would make the whole project more appealing to the visual people like me.

I usually just re-color the back end and update some minor CSS. Great job taking this to the next level.

Please keep us posted as this changes and possible becomes available as a theme.

deadhike:

You should try your theme on the upcoming CMS 1.3-beta1 (or check it out from svn).

I've done some minor improvements to the admin theme class, and changes to admin/loginstyle.php
that could effect your theme.

Thanks loads for the heads up.

I've set aside tomorrow night to work on it so I'll get the latest diff then.

Sorry it's taking so long  :-[

No need to be sorry... we all have other commitments to deal with, so it's completely understandable.
Besides, I'm sure we'd all prefer it to be "on the money", rather than "on time" --> this isn't Micro$oft.

deadhike: we're hoping for two more additional themes to come out with CMS
  yours
  and one developed by Nuno

Please give yourself some credit somewhere in the theme, a big old link to your company in the footer or something,

Also, Please send me a diff with your changes to the class.admintheme.inc.php  and whatever else you've changed from current svn so that I can give nuno a chance to make sure it all works with his theme before we issue the beta this weekend.

It sounds like 1.3 is shaping up to be a lot more than a 'throw-the-dog-a-bone' release (no offense intended),

Ten-Four good buddy...

Working on it right now. What's the best way to send you stuff?

I'll need to rein some changes back I think, as I began by throwing caution to the wind and changing whatever I liked.

Would a static XHTML file of the page structure I'm working to help Nuno?

Primarily, what we need is any change to any .php file (or any file included in the distribution you've made in the core

svn diff format is the best.

and send it by email to me at calguy1000 at cmsmadesimple dot org

Hi all,

I've moved things closer to getting this out. Calguy should have the changes I've made and a version of the theme so I'll hopefully get to know if somethings screwed up.

It's pretty much just some minor CSS bugs and finishing touches now.

Should get them done tomorrow. Any major preferences on colour? Not that it's hard to change them.

And should I put the shortcut links back in? I took them out as I never use them.

Thanks and gnite...
