question about album comments

If I edit an album or picture comment, I can do this with an WYSIWYG editor and can also use HTML for comments.

But is is correct, that I can't use smarty tags inside comments?

I just tried it and it looks like Smarty stuff does indeed *not* work in Album or picture comments.
You could file a feature request here: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/tracker/?a ... unc=browse
But Album is quite low on my priority list at this point, so it'll probably not be implemented by me. Hopefully someone else.

Using "do this with an WYSIWYG editor and can also use HTML for comments." in the comments for images has a tendency to mess up the title of a lot of the album templates...
