I am in the process of moving servers.
I have my original server, and set up a temporary domain pointing to the new server.
Zipped up all the files on the new server and FTPed them across to new server where I unziped them.
I then used a Mysql manager called Navicat to copy the database accross.
I edited config .php to use new domain and server paths.
I also chmoded a bunch of folders to 777.
The domain on my plesk server has safe mode turned off.
All works fine - backend and front end, but MenuManager is broken.
It wont display in the front end. In the backend I get a blank page.
I also removed(backedup) the current menuManager and uploaded a fresh one.
I am using CMS Made Simple 1.0.2 "Maui" and MenuManager 1.2 on Mysql 5.0.51a / PHP 5.2.6 on an apache/plesk box
Anybody got any advice? I am stumped!
Thanks

Re: Server Move - problem with Menu Manager
I'm not sure 1.0.2 was designed to run on PHP5. You should first upgrade to latest official stable (1.2.5 today) (may be via 1.1) then retry the move (don't skip the first backup and clear cache steps).Gorm wrote: I am using CMS Made Simple 1.0.2 "Maui" ... PHP 5.2.6
1.0.2 is very old, bugy and unsupported. Using it today is self shooting in the foot.

Thanks for your advice Pierre
I have upgraded to 1.1 then on to 1.2.5. on the new box - and that has gone well with the menu working.
Cheers Gorm
