Hi Guys... first post here, from newbie CMSMS convert.
I am developing a new site which needs a members only section, and an authorised members only section. I have managed to get it working fine as a test with front-end-users module, but as all my users already have GoogleMail accounts I wondered if anyone had worked on a "Single-Sign-On" solution with Google and CMSMS? I would love to be able to simply code that anyone who is logged in to Google as *@domain.com gets the members only pages, and then have a list of "first-bit" email addresses who would be allowed to do the dangerous authorised only stuff. For me Social Networking and Web2.1 must be about single identities - I'm fed up with registering for everything and just want to say "this is me, here's my public information, here's my private info which can be used by trusted sites"
I tried to hack through the google groups stuff on this but it all gets more complicated than I can cope with at the moment - hence the call for anyone else who may have done something similar.
TIA
Smotsie

Hello,
OpenID is on CMSms v2.0 list. I don't know what is Google's commitment to it.

Re: Using Google login with cmsms
Ah splendid - I have read a little about openid and it seems a good way forward. Personally I would like it if openid supported email addresses as id's as that is what I try to use most of the time. I know Google are on the openid board so hopefully it won't be long until they are a provider and a client of openids
Until then, we'll just have to have two logins!
Is there a schedule for release of 2.0? (I did look but can't find anything)
