/contact instead of /index.php?page=contact

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

I don't know how this is called that's why I don't go to search first.

Can someone please guide me to how to implement so that

/contact instead of /index.php?page=contact
