Using 1.2.4
When editing a page's content, if WYSIWYG is turned off line break are not preserved. In fact, it would seem all line breaks are removed.
This is a problem for two reasons:
- Javascript can get trashed (even with the {literal} escape)
- The html becomes nearly impossible to comprehend and modify if it's just a glob without any structure.
Is there any way to keep the line breaks in page content?
Thanks.
Line Breaks in Page Content
Re: Line Breaks in Page Content
If you go to:
Extensions » TinyMCE WYSIWYG Basic
and select:
Apply source formatting to the output HTML
Then it would seem the first line break is preserved. If there is more then one line break though, only the first one seems to be preserved...

Simple rule, wysiwygs are for customers and content editors. Website developers shouldn't use them, because they'll be putting things like funky styles and javascript into the content.
