hello,
Im updating an old website with a cms site, theres already a mysql database installed and wont let me add a new one so i've added a new user to it, with all the permissions. The problem i've got, is that when attempting to install CMS at the point of database information I get the warning
Could not connect to the database. Verify that username and password are correct, and that the user has access to the given database.
I have obviously checked the username and password and that they have the right access but its still not working,
any help would be great!
Cheers
Mike

Re: mysql help!

Re: mysql help!
I think you should contact your host.

It must be hard to get any work done with someone on top of you.
I think your original FTP of the software didn't work very well. You should re-upload the whole package.

Re: mysql help!
I have now solved this problem, contacted the host and they deleted the original database so i could create a new one myself, which worked fine!
