TinyMCE - Absolute Reference to Images

PHP 5.2.5

I am trying to get TinyMCE to insert images using the absolute url instead of the relative url.  I have tried to modify the following files and haven't had any luck:

TinyMCE/tinyconifg.php
TinyMCE/tinymce/tiny_mce/simplebrowser/frmresourceslist.html
TinyMCE/tinymce/tiny_mce/simplebrowser/connectors/php/config.php

Has anybody done this and if so how?  Any help on this would be much appreciated.
