[SOLVED] Change height on CSSMenu Horizontal.

Post by KuJoe »

I'm trying to make the menu smaller (about 20px in height). I am able to do this but the text disappears afterwards (I'm assuming it stays "centered" but the "center" is no long in the 20px high box). Any help is greatly appreciated as I am a CSS newb. :( Thank you!

Ok, I've found that if I remove "display: block;" from:

Code: Select all

/* Styling the basic apperance of the menu elements */
#primary-nav a {
   display: block;
   margin: 0px;
   padding: 5px 10px;
   text-decoration: none;
   color: #006699;
}
It will resize the menu perfectly but then when I highlight something on level 1 instead of the sub-levels dropping below it they open to the side of it. (I hope I'm using the right terms.) I have tried all of the other "display:" values with no luck. Thanks again for any help. :)

Sorry, here's the code to the CSSMenu Horizontal:

Code: Select all

/* Horizontal menu for the CMS CSS Menu Module */
/* by Alexander Endresen */

#menu_vert {
   margin-left: 1px;
   margin-right: 1px;
}

/* The wrapper clears the floating elements of the menu */
/* Set the width of the menu elements at second level. Leaving first level flexible. */
#primary-nav li li {
   width: 150px;
}

/* Fix for Opera 8 */
.clearb { clear: both; }
#menuwrapper {
   /* Fix for Opera 8 */
   /*   overflow: hidden;  */
   background-color: #ECECEC;
   border-bottom: 1px solid #C0C0C0;
   width: 100%;
}

/* Unless you know what you do, do not touch this */
#primary-nav, #primary-nav ul {

Change the padding:

#primary-nav a {
  display: in-line;
  margin: 0px;
  padding: 2px 10px;
  text-decoration: none;
  color: #006699;
}

Didn't change anything noticable. :( The sub-levels are still appearing to the right instead of underneath.

Put back the display block:

#primary-nav a {
  display: block;
  margin: 0px;
  padding: 2px 10px;
  text-decoration: none;
  color: #006699;
}

div#navigation ul {
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 11px;
    color: #FFF;
    line-height: 16px;
    white-space: nowrap;
}

Or something suitable.
