Making Menu Links

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Making Menu Links

Post by Cryptid »

I have installed the latest Stable SIMPLE CMS (1.2.4)
Easy install
Installed Sample Data.
Installed Forum made simple and made one forum.

How do I create a menu  link to it in the main page?

I know I am missing something here. I know you can put links on the main page, how?

Create a new page, called "Forum" and in the content put:

{cms_module module="Forum"}

This should now be a menu item, with a link to the Forum page you just created.

Thanks. Thats kind of a funky way of doing menus but I guess the pluses of CMSMS over rides that.

All CMS's need some way of adding pages to a DB.

By Adding a content page, you have added it to the menu. EE calls them "weblogs" which is dumb.
