Recommendations for Forums - integrating into CMSMS

I hope this isn't considered off topic for the developers forum, because I would really like developers' points of view.

I was playing around a bit with the Simple Forum that comes with the CMSMS, and I find it just to be a wee bit too simple. We'll see what I can do with it from a development standpoint.

However, time is an issue on this one, so I am open to recommendations on the forums you all have used to integrate into CMSMS. Previously I have used Simple Machines forums, but I am open to something new.

The most important aspect is the ability to integrate it rapidly and effectively with CMSMS, and its current FEU interface.
