I have gone and made the final decision to choose CMS Made Simple as the CMS to power my site as a result from the answers I have received in this thread. Now it's time to post this project to coders and programmers here who know CMS Made Simple.
Project Details
I have a template already coded in valid XHTML/CSS that needs to be integrated/skinned into CMS Made Simple. The template features a header, top navigation, main content page, and footer - all of these parts of the template will need to be sliced into individual templates within the CMS for easy-editing later on (I am using the word "templates" as I am not sure if CMS Made Simple has a template system with different files you can edit; for example, in WordPress, you have themes and the option to edit files within the theme - their theme system is basically made up of a combination of sliced templates, each in which you can edit if you need to such as header.php etc...I just want to the ability to edit certain parts of the template if I ever need to in an organized manner without seeing the entire source of the template in CMS Made Simple).
The template's main page features two RSS feed content boxes in which you will need to code as well; further explained, the RSS feed content boxes should contain RSS feeds from two of my other sites - whoever I choose for this project will need to code or use an open source code to display the RSS feeds as it is in my design.
One more major requirement in this project involves Apache mod_rewrite. I want the ability to assign a page's name and extension or directory (such as site.com/content-page.html or site.com/content/). I want full control over this.
Reading over my initial thread here, I can see that I might need some mods installed with CMS Made Simple to do what I want. Please read my thread for further reference; some example mods I see that I will need include "Catalogger Module" and "Pretty URLs".
Security is a very important issue of mine with this project. Please ensure that if I choose you for this project, you are to code my template in the latest stable and most secure version of CMS Made Simple and its mods.
On top, coding will need to be valid XHTML/CSS - valid coding is very important to me for accessibility.
I prefer to hire someone with instant messenger (Windows Live Messenger preferred).
If interested in this project, please reply back to this thread along with your portfolio [if applicable], an example site(s) of CMS Made Simple you've made or skinned, and your method of contact (email, instant messenger, both, etc).
Thank you. I am looking forward to doing business with one of you.
