further information
the old install buttons did appear, but when logging into the admin the buttons in there are not existant.. eg go to pages, the ticks and x's are missing with just text there

another update
i blew the whole install away, installed it twice using the last 2 versions of CMSMS and still have no buttons?
got me totally stumped

So what I have done is install a much older version of CMSMS and its working now??
so not solved, just worked around it temporarily

I tried to upgrade to 1.5.2 but the upgrade page is also missing the images
I have another CMS site on that same server with no issues as well.

edit to add: I did a checksum test as well, it was a sucess

hi all A recent install of CMS 1.5.1 for a site im working on has resulted in the admin pages missing all icons. eg where the submit/cancel buttons are on the admin login page there is just empty white boxes. Found this thread, my permissions was set to 775 and MCE wasnt working
Set to 755 and its all ok as well

hi all well it seems the host had moved us onto another server but had not updated their dns records to reflect it, hence why the logs stopped working when i started posting above. They have fixed up the problem, and now all is working fine, thank you all for your assistance. now onto the wordpress ...

i renamed the HTAACCESS file the other day in the bullarab folder and it did not make a difference, HOWEVER there is another htaccess file in the root of the server which has text in it... do u mean this one? as i have renamed both and no joy i will do the other suggestions above and see what i can ...

Ive set all permissions to 755 except tmp which is 777 Cleared the cache, still comes up with error above, or if u put index.php in the address bar after the URL it comes up a blank page with no error config.php says the following Global Settings in the admin panel) #after making any changes to path...
