Re: new tag: File List on Frontend (e.g. list of pdf newsletters)
I see what you mean now - was a bit confused by the mention of ext=pdf in your example tag. Is there anything in the forge where I can see a more complete example of using smarty in a similar manner? I'm new to coding my own php scripts and mainly used other tags and modules to pick up just the bits...

Re: new tag: File List on Frontend (e.g. list of pdf newsletters)
Thanks for the feedback. Would that allow for multiple extensions though in one list? One of the uses I considered for the tag was a list of publications and resources for download by an organisation. Such a list could include various file formats such as PDFs, spreadsheets, and images.

new tag: File List on Frontend (e.g. list of pdf newsletters)
I've been looking for a module/tag that would automatically create a list of PDF newsletters and display them on my site. The closest I found on the forge was a module called File List (not to be confused with the filelist tag released yesterday by Wiedmann) but there is yet to be anything uploaded ...

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.1.3.1
I've just upgraded to 1.1.2 using the diff-1.1.1-1.1.2 package in the process of updating to 1.1.3.1. When I access my site I get the "Site down for maintenance." When accessing /install/upgrade.php I get a 404 error. I've also deleted the install folder after upgrading and I've double che...

Menu help and aligning news summary
I'm in the processing of adapting this template to work with CMSMS using the standard templates as a guide. So far I have this . The main issue so far is the menu; for the life me I can't figure out how to have the gaps between the menu items so that you can see the background between them. The othe...

I use www.clook.co.uk - I've had no problems setting up CMS Made Simple on their bronze shared hosting package.

Menu using style for normal links?
Hi, I'm trying to set up my site to use a template I'd developed before I started with CMSMS. The site is supposed to look like this but my attempts so far in CMSMS look like this . As you can see it looks like the menu is adopting the formatting for the links in the news headlines. At the moment I ...

How to install CMS for a novice PHP/MySQL user?
I'm trying to set up CMS Made Simple for a church organisation to replace their existing html site. Unfortunately their current hosting package doesn't allow MySQL databases, so I've currently set up a freeSQL account to prove the worth of CMS Made Simple before they switch hosts. Since I'm the one ...
