Site for a children's author
Up to now I think I've only ever used the CMSMS forums to ask bizarre (to me) questions so now that I've been using the software for a while I thought it was time to demonstrate what I've been doing with it. I've been using CMSMS for a couple of years now. There was a bit of a learning curve at firs...

Re: Site periodically disappears since upgrade (caching prob
Yeah. I knew they were in the USA, but I sent them this link and asked them to tell me the correct setting based on where the relevant server is. Up until earlier today the $config['locale'] setting in config.php was blank. I've since changed it to $config['locale'] = 'en_GB'; but I'm not sure if th...

Site periodically disappears since upgrade (caching problem?
I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum, only it seems to be upgrade related. A month or so ago, I upgraded a site from 1.82 to 1.9.4.3, and since then, the site has 'disappeared' a few times: when I say disappeared, only the site name from <h1> and some info from the site's masthead appears: n...

Re: Cataloger 0.9 and 0.5.4
Just in case anyone finds this useful in the future, there is a solution. I noticed that the original poster had asked this question in the 'unofficial' German forum, where it was solved. Basically, follow the steps given in the solution mentioned in the bug report linked to in my post above. You th...

Re: Cataloger 0.9 and 0.5.4
Could it be anything to do with this bug ? Apparently when you're using MySQL higher than version 5.0, certain tables aren't written to the database. There is a fix given on the link above. I've just come across the same problem on one of my sites since upgrading the CMS from 1.8.2 to 1.9.4.3 and Ca...

Socialbookmarker tag with CGCalendar module?
Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone had been able to get the Socialbookmarker tag working with the CGCalendar module? I found an excellent post in the Dutch language forums where the tag's developer Arnoud explains how to use it in various circumstances. I've used it successfully in the news and b...

Statistics 1.13 doesn't show currently active visitors
Hello I've got a site which is running CMSms 1.82 (yes, I know, I'll upgrade when I have some time :) ). I recently had time to upgrade some of the modules, though, one of them being Statistics: from 1.10 (I think) to 1.13. After installation, I checked to see if everything was working OK, which it ...

Re: Problem with CGFeedback
A bug was already reported http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/6245 Adding "notified" to cms_module_cgfeedback_comments" worked for me. Edit: ok it only works in combination with notification set to "none" as mentioned above. Thanks for confirmation of that. I'm pleased t...

Re: Problem with CGFeedback
No concrete ideas, I'm afraid, but I've just run into the same problem. I'd initially thought it was a problem with the module upgrade process, but seeing that we both got exactly the same error, now I'm not so sure. I had the previous version of the module working under 1.93 with CGBlog 1.72, CGSim...

Re: Lightbox works on one page, but not another
Dr CSS: I appreciate that, although I'm coy about posting URLs of live sites here. Sonya: I'll bear that in mind. I actually use iCab (wonderful, but little-known German browser with an excellent inspector for debugging). I've just checked with it (never thought to look in the 'scripts' section befo...

Lightbox works on one page, but not another
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help with something that's been puzzling me recently. I have a site where a news article features three small images which I've linked to LightBox in TinyMCE. This news article appears on two different pages of the website. Both pages use different template...

Re: [SOLVED sort of] Problem setting extension for feeds using CGFeedmaker
Setting extension in config.php is not a solution for old websites having pages indexed as they will not be found by search engines any more and have to be reindexed. This is a known bug http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/4230 Please remove solved from your first post, so that module developer k...

Re: Permissions problems/Module manager: some very specific info needed!
OK, I've sorted this out now. I managed to get php-cgiwrap to work on the entire web directory so that PHP is run as CGI. The host restored ownership of all files and directories to my user name (some of them were owned by 'nobody'). Everything now seems to be running OK with permissions of 755 and ...

[SOLVED] Permissions problems/Module manager: some very specific info needed!
Hello all There have been further developments to this thread, which I thought had been solved >:( http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,49058.0.html In short: I've had a site with a particular host for a few months, and since we moved it there, I've not been able to use the Module Manager...
