OK. I got my menu back. My original install of CMSMS 1.6.6 ran with MenuManager 1.6.2. Following the automatic upgrade to CMSMS 1.11.12 this became 1.8.5. I re-installed MM 1.6.2 (having reverted to CMSMS1.6.6) and my menu came back. When I get a chance I will do a managed upgrade to 1.11.12. Incide...

Just one glitch, though. Following the restore my vertical menu in the sidenav has disappeared. Hmm.

p.s. I know there are very good reasons for keeping up to date -- security etc. I inherited this site from a retiree and am hosting it for a charity. It's my first brush with CMSMS.

- How could the 'automatic' upgrade have upgraded straight from 1.6.6 to 1.11.12? we are not getting the whole story here. We are. The first I knew about the upgrade was a system generated email. I have now restored the 1.6.6 install from the automatic Installatron backup .tar and all is well.

I have also disabled the automatic upgarde option in Installatron:

The upgrade >is< automatic. Installatron automatically upgraded 1.6.6 to 1.11.12 and created a backup.
