Stubborn Module won't delete!

Hello,

I have this module called "ModuleMaker", and it does not have an option to uninstall it in the module manager. I have tried removing the folder via FTP, and tried clearing the MySQL table that features it. All of these things fail.

Any other suggestions please?

Thanks a lot.

I had the same thing with another module. You probably used the XML version to install it. Using that one, means it will use the unix privaliges of the server (at the provider). In my case all the installed material had Apache as the owner. Whatever I tried (CHMOD), via the providers console to the modules, I was not able to delete it. I asked the provider to delete it. From that moment on, I stay away from installing via XML.

Nope Mark FTP deletion didn't work for me.
But since I still want to easily import the modules, decide if I will use them and delete afterwards if not wanted, I took (for me) a big step and installed xampp (wonderfull product, for what I've seen so far).

Thanks for the idea however

You may have to change the permissions on the module folder, I had trouble deleting one, Captcha, and had to change a bunch of the files/folders to 777 to get rid of them...
