Yet another menu system?

Has anyone explored the possibility of using JSCookMenu?

I have used this on some static :( sites in the past, and it worked perfectly across all modern browsers.  Of course, there is a standards issue, but I like its functionality better that PHPLayers.

(dare I mention that it is also what Mambo uses in their admin.)

We actually have a really nice CSS based menu now for our admin.  I'd like to explore the possibiilty to making a bulletmenu modification to use it.  But I'm not opposed to JSCookMenu.  Anyone insterested?

I encountered a serious problem with PHPLayers. PHPLayers causes IE to barf when accompanied by the Google Maps API.

I desperation I looked for another menu system and discovered that JSCookMenu cooperates with the Google Maps API.

JSCookMenu provides effects not available in PHPLayers, and  JSCookMenu is XHTML compliant :)

I am working on a module for JSCookMenu. I'm a complete newby, but I think I can copy alot from the module for PHPLayers.

I was working on a system like this:
http://www.cs.ucla.edu/~heng/JSCookMenu ... ilder.html
for TIGRA MENU
Now see it, hmmmmm.

Dotnet we can split the job.

You concentrate to create the menu module, o work on admin side.
Give the possibility to create the MENUS from there.

Bye :)

The idea is to create also cached MENU "js" files.

I just remembered a discussion about the UDM 4 menu by Brothercake. Here it is:

http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 459.0.html

Well, it IS commercial but it is probably the one and only accessible and cross browser cross platform compliant menu based on unordered lists. Another fairly good script is Menu, which can be found here: http://www.burmees.nl/menu/menus.htm --- but this one just works with JavaScript. But it might be an option for some girls and guys here.

Regards,
Nils
