Revised content doesn't display, "Move" arrows not displaying

I've got a CMSMS installation that I handed off to a client a few months ago, was working fine, but suddenly things have gone awry.

Symptoms are as follows (which seem to happen regardless of login -- i.e. admin vs. editor)

-- When editing a file, and selecting "Preview" the preview screen is blank

-- When saving a file, the changes do not appear on the website, but do appear when retrieving the file to edit a second time (i.e. get written to the database?).

-- In the "Content >> Pages" screen, there are "Move" arrows missing on some of my files (see attached image)

I'm not in the mood to reinstall CMSMS, as the site is on a remote, shared host, and I don't have FTP access to it at this time.

Thanks for any help!

I've used the "re-order pages" from time to time while having problems with the menu. So by re-ordering "strange behaving" pages up and down with the re-order pages setting, the menu-structure got fixed. This helped with sevaral issues concerning the menu, it might solve yours as well.

Just going back to the image above, the arrows are right.  4.1 and 4.1.1 don't have any siblings to reorder with, as they're the only children of their parents.

This is the correct behavior.

Though, the issue with preview and changes not showing up I'm not entirely sure about.  Both sound related to caching problems...  maybe it's the browser...  maybe it's the server with some kind of weird apache setting.
