install questions

bear with me here i got a mangled broken rt arm...my main hand 
hiking accident im bhrealing )
i get a few install errors thgat i tried to fix on my own using chmo and Asking around on irc but didn get much... my errors are below
Checking for basic XML (expat) support
XML support is not compiled into your php install. You can still use the system, but will not be able to use any of the remote module installation functions. Caution
is his just a module i can enable somewhere....or do i have to recompile php5 with this extension?
Checking if session.save_path is writable
Your session.save_path is "5;/usr/home/xxxx/sessionsave/". Not having this as writable may make logins to the Admin Panel not work. You may want to look into making this path writable if you have trouble logging into the Admin Panel.
shouldnt just chmodding the dir or settin somne permission?
FIXES HIS ONE STILL WORKIN ON THE ABOVE N BEL.OW
now i only have 1 php file,...thie setting would be in the /usr/local/etcphp.ini somewhere righ? ive searched around for this in threre bu am unsure of what exactly to change...
Checking for tokenizer functions
Not having the tokenizer could cause pages to render as purely white. We recommend you have this installed, but your website may work fine without it.
