Sure... I use them and Love it...
Login to your account at 1&1, in admin look for MySQL Administration symbol, looks like a pile of disks with a courser arrow, click,
Then on the DB bar click "New Database" button, give it a name and click Setup button now you see...

Your MySQL database details are shown in the lower overview.
Database name db****
Host name ****.perfora.net
Port 3306 (standard port)
User name dbo****
Password *****
Description test
Status setup started
click Overview button...
Now DB bar has your info for the DB,
FTP, to get the access info to do this, in 1&1 admin the left box or below under Web Space & Access click the FTP and it will give you your info, all the files/folders for CMSMS...
when you install your CMSMS and get to step 10 in
Handbook input your info, I just copy/paste it from the site, they give you weird names and passwords...
Host address is Host name,
Port is the same,
Database Name is DB Name,
User Name and Password ditto,
Table prefix can be left as is,
Leave check in Create Tables...
Now click Continue button and all should be good...
