Preview omits all content[solved]

This seems to have corrected itself on a fresh install?
Hi,
When I select the preview tab on the editcontent or addcontent page the content from the {content} tags is omitted entirely.
If I add a new page, with no parent or as a child of another the new page does not show up in the menu either. If I submit it and go back to edit the new page, it appears in the menu but none of the content shows up. My permission on the tmp dir are as follows:
drwxrwxrwx 6 alan alan 4096 Sep 21 02:32 tmp
within this dir they are
drwxrwxrwx 6 alan alan 4096 Sep 21 02:32 .
drwxrwxr-x 10 alan alan 4096 Jan 10 16:55 ..
drwxrwxrwx 2 alan alan 4096 Jan 10 17:06 cache
drwxrwxr-x 2 alan alan 4096 Sep 21 02:32 configs
drwxrwxr-x 2 alan alan 4096 Sep 21 02:32 templates
drwxrwxrwx 2 alan alan 4096 Jan 10 17:06 templates_c
I am using the latest version of CMS (1.0.2) on FC5 with apache & mySQL 5.0.18 on an x86. With debug on I get no errors that I can discern
