Cutenews [solved]

I can't use my cutenews with CMSMS. It gives me an error message like this:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare check_login() (previously declared in /home/.lemmy/pokemon/pokeuniverse.info/lib/page.functions.php:35) in /home/.lemmy/pokemon/pokeuniverse.info/news/inc/functions.inc.php on line 298
Can somebody give me a solution to this? Note, I suck at PHP coding, so I can't code anything.

What is CuteNews and how are you trying to insert/use it in CMSMS?...
It looks like it is trying to call some things already in use by the "News" module...

Why use cutenews? The inbuilt news module is good enough....

Because the CMS comment system doesn't work for me, plus it's no good.

Comments not working? hmmm... you may want to try using Comments 1.7...
Go to
http://multiintech.com/CMSMSDemo/
hit the login link...
Name: adman
Password: adman
Look in the news Detail template to see where to put it...
and look at the Comments to see how to put tinyMCE in the textarea for Comments...

ok, comments can be sorted....but cutenews doesn't work very well with cmsms. you would need to use a seperate database at least I guess. comments module is updated often, what problems are you having?

Well, my Admin CP is all effed up, and doesn't show the layout correctly. Secondly, the news module isn't showing in the "Content" menu. I checked for the news module, and it didn't show. My CMSMS copy is basically unstable ever since my server move.

Did you move it or your provider?...
How was it moved?...
You can get News from the Forge and install it your self...

Right now when I go to my modules page, it doesn't list any installed modules. Can somebody explain what to do in a case like this?

which version of cmsms are you using?
you should be able to goto module manager and install modules via that. or download the xml files and install via modules, by browsing to where the file is and uploading

I fixed the problem. It appeared to be that the News.module.php was renamed by the FTP transfer into news.module.php. This also applys to other modules.

Ah yes correct names for the files/folders is critical...
Could you amend the subject line in your first post to have [solved] on the end, it helps others when looking/searching... thanks...
