How to change a template for an entire section?

Hi there,

My name is Jussi, and I'm hailing from Finland.

I'm new to CMSMS, but I do, however, have some experience with computers.

Here's my question: what is the easiest and most "fool proof" way to change the template for an entire (sub)section?
This would be very handy, for many reason: many levels (subsections), which in our environment (possibly some 3,000+ pages) require slightly different templates.

Here's what I have in my mind:

ROOT (t1)
L1 (t1)
L1.1 (t1.1)
L2 (t2)
L2.1 (t2.1)
L2.3 (t2.3)
...
Lx.x.x (tx.x.x, think you'll get the picture)

I might be able to log on to the SQL server and fiddle with PHP, but I' m quite reluctant of doing so...

Any help would be greatly appreciatedĀ  :)

Cheers,

Jussi

To make all pages have the same template go to Layout Ā» Templates and click the 'Set All Pages' to the right...

To set a sub level of pages all to one template you will need to choose the template when making the page, at the moment there is no way to 'Set All Sublevels' with one template...
