After upgrading using GUI tools (nautilus, kbear, etc.), I'm looking for the simplest way to transfer an entire directory structure from my development box to a production box.  Is there a way from the FTP command line to transfer entire folders?  Without it prompting you to verify EVERY file overwrite?

Install ncftp.  It has wonderful put -r command that will make your life MUCH easier.
