Hello everyone,
Sorry if this isn't the correct place to post this, but i couldn't find a jobs posting section in the forum and this seemed the most suitable place to post this request.
We are currently looking for an experienced Web Developer on a contractual basis. The candidate must know CMS Made Simple very well as well as a great understanding of xhtml, dhtml, css and the latest coding standards. List of requirements are below.
About us:
ImageWorks Studio is a privately owned company located in Chantilly VA. ImageWorks has completed over 2,000 successful marketing projects in more than 10 years in business for companies such as Marriot, GTE, Xerox, CIA, Perot Systems, Campbell’s Soup and other Fortune 1000 companies; however our core market is small and medium-sized business, with a desire and commitment to effectively branding their company. Among our services, we offer websites to our clients. We develop websites which are above our client's expectations and considered at the front of design and development.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills and background:
1. Must have a great understanding of CMS Made Simple as this is the CMS we use for our client's websites.
2. Must have a great understanding of the following technologies: Dhtml, Xhtml, CSS, Javascript and ability to adapt to the latest coding standards with the ability to degrade for older browsers/users.
3. Graphics and Image manipulation experience using Adobe products (slices and comps).
4. Strong SEO skills highly favorable.
5. Must have an attention to detail.
6. Intermediate knowledge of php and mysql.
The position will require the candidate to:
1. Code an entire website from scratch using CMS Made Simple being provided the Photoshop comp, outline and content.
2. Create new, and enhance existing HTML pages to achieve optimal SEO.
3. Take initiative, and work independently, while reporting to the lead developer.
4. Meet project milestone time lines and be able to communicate clearly on a technical, and personal level.
Summary:
We are in a fast-paced environment, with new projects and integrations needed week to week. Must be self motivated, able to balance multiple tasks at the same time, work within tight deadlines, and able to work completely independently. Be a contributor to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
