File upload field on publish page

Does anyone know of a file upload module that would allow a file upload via the 'edit page' page.
for example, i could upload whatever.jpg and use phpthumb to create the thumbnail and popup...

etc etc
Reason being I don't really want to insert another 3 wysiwig editors in just for an optional series of images with captions down the side of the page along with the risk of the client placing images which are completely the wrong size and formatting the text comic sans and fluoro pink....
know what i mean?
