Modules Extension not displaying

Using the CMSMS GUI, I uploaded the FrontEndUsers.xml module to my CMS site. It uploaded just fine. But when I clicked on Install, the computer worked for a while and then the screen went totally white and the status bar said done. Now, whenever I log on to CMS, not only can I NOT access the Modules Extension, but the Admin stylesheet does not display either.

So, I deleted the FEU folder from inside the Modules folder using FTP. I then tried uploading the FEU folder (which I had uncompressed) using FTP. I logged into CMS and the same thing happened.

I believe this must be some sort of setting or permissions problem on the server, as these are the EXACT same files I have used on 2 other CMS sites without incident.

Can anyone offer any insight as to what setting or permission needs changed on my ISP to quit this from breaking?

I might also add that this same CMS site does NOT display the images I have uploaded in the image manager - just file names. This is quite inconvenient. Again, this makes me think that it is related to the ISP's server rather than CMS, but don't know where to begin.

Thanks.

Site Admin > Global Settings > (unmask) : 002

May help, did you delete the folder then login and clear the cache in global settings to see if it fixed it before you uploaded it again...

No, I had not tried that. So, just now, I did the following:
1. Changed the File Creation Mask (umask): to 002
2. Cleared the cache using Site Admin - Global Settings
3. Went to Extensions - Modules
4. Browsed to my Album-0.7.4.xml file (same one used on another site/server) and clicked upload

This time, I did not even get the opportunity to click on Install. The browser window went white, the status bar said done. As I was in Firefox with multiple tabs open and logged into the admin, I switched tabs and click on Main. While I was redirected to the Admin main page, my admin stylesheet was gone.

I changed the File Creation Mask back to 022 and cleared the cache again, but to no avail. I will have to manually delete the Albums folder using FTP and this should restore my Admin stylesheets.

Very strange...any other ideas? I appreciate your thoughts and am willing to try most things as the site is presently not live but in development...

Has your FTP client messed it up?
Are all the permissions on folders/files set per install instructions?

Oh yea and try 000 or delete all from (unmask), make blank...
