I am using the latest stable version (1.0.2) and I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of permission settings. One very important setting that is missing, is to deny a user the permission to add new items to the menu (e.g.: they are only allowed to add new pages to a parent menu item).
Edit: I was also able to add a News link to the menu, using a DISABLED template!! I tried editting a page, from which I had revoked the "Additional Editor" rights to this particular user. When I clicked the template link, I got the "not allowed to edit template" error and hit the Back link... it took me to an overview of installed templates. I could then enable a disabled template there. Going back to adding a page, i picked News et voila.. the new template was availbale...
Also see http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,8110.0.html. This group permissions thing is buggy as hell, can't believe you guys put out a 1.0 version without something critical like this addressed.

Re: Group Permissions
This is being worked on for a future release...

Re: Group Permissions
I did not mean to offend anyone. Just figured such an important feature of a CMS should function well before realasing a major version (1.0).mark wrote: This is bring worked on for a future release...

Re: Group Permissions
Oh, and by the way, even when I revoke "Additional Editor" rights of a user, he/she is still allowed to DELETE the frigging page... just not edit it.
It's a good thing I've made backups
