FEU editing profile error

I posted this in my earlier thread about FEU user expiration issues, but it will probably get lost in that thread, so I wanted to make a new thread for it.
When I try to edit the user's profile (in the front-end "Edit My Settings" page), if I just try to change my password, it returns an error that the email address is already used... I searched the forum and found an earlier thread of mine where I had the same problem running an earlier version of FEU. Calguy replied that the latest (1.1) worked ok and fixed this issue. I'm still showing the same error.
haven't tested this issue yet on XAMPP; hope to later this evening...
