Multilanguage FrontEndUsers

Hi there,
i am using the cmsms multilingual with two languages (german, english). I installed the FrontEndUser and the SelfRegister Modul for getting a website to which everybody may register and login to a member section.
The default language is german, and so is the language of the FrontEndUser Modul - even when switching the language to english. There is a possibility to tell the Modul running with a chosen language (e.g. {blablabla lang='de_DE'}).
Is there any possibilty to get a var with the active language in a template
