While developing a website with CMS Made Simple (CMSMS), I'm having trouble extending functionality via modules. So I would want to request greater CMSMS Module Support. I am thinking of adding some custom modules in addition to the ones in the CMSMS library, but I'm not sure if the CMSMS version I'm using completely supports them. I'd also like to know how to ensure compatibility between the new module and the ones that are already operating on the website. Another concern is if CMSMS provides official documentation or guidance on developing, upgrading, or expanding modules, particularly when extensive customization is required to meet the demands of the business.

I also wonder if CMSMS has a support staff or community that addresses module-related issues on a regular basis. Understanding CMSMS module testing standards, regulations, and processes will help me ensure that the website functions more smoothly and securely. Can you tell me how I can gain module support in CMSMS?

Third-party modules are supported by their respective authors rather than the CMSMS Dev Team, although a lot of the module creators are also on the Dev Team. You can typically find them here on the forums, or in our Slack channel. Each module typically has support information included in the documentation.

As for creating your own module, on the docs site (https://docs.cmsmadesimple.org/) check under Programming - the Module writing tutorial is one place to start. The API documentation would be another, and looking at the core and other popular modules a third.
