How to properly handle multilingual URLs in CMS Made Simple without breaking SEO?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently setting up a multilingual site in CMS Made Simple and want to make sure the URLs are SEO-friendly for each language. Ideally, I’d like to have something like /en/about-us/ and /fr/a-propos/ without causing duplicate content or redirect issues.
Retro Bowl
I’ve checked the documentation and some older posts, but there doesn’t seem to be a clear, up-to-date guide on the best approach for this — especially when using the latest CMSMS version.
Should I handle this through the core CMSMS settings, URL rewriting, or via a custom module? And is there a recommended way to ensure each language version is properly indexed by search engines?
Thanks in advance for any advice or examples!
