2.2.17 Install problem

I am getting this warning In Step 3. (Upgrading a CMSMS Website to version 2.2.17)

Testing if we can change INI settings

Which ini file are they talking about?

It is testing for https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.ini-set.php
Generally not an issue, and often reports as a false-positive if a value has already been set elsewhere, e.g. php.ini or .user.ini.

On the assumption that it was a false flag, I moved on, Step 4 now responds

Step 4 - Basic Configuration Information
Installation Directory:
/var/www/html
No such file or directory

Should it just be /var/www ?

That's up to you and/or your server configuration. It has to be a valid path though, generally your site root unless you intend to have it in a subfolder.

My bad. I had maria enabled but not started. The error message threw me off base.
