Great idea!

One other thing to perhaps consider: Ubuntu ships with a ton of software. I see no reason why someone of authority in this project shouldn't ask for Ubuntu server edition to ship with cmsms, or at least to offer it as an apt-get.

I use both Ubuntu and CMSMS in an educational setting, and I'm sure a lot more people in my position would, if both were targeted toward educators. I'm trying to do this, but if both were bundled... well... that just makes it easy to push them both at the same time.

Maybe there should be a promotion section on the homepage, a poster design-contest or even a marketing team!

Good idea, but the dev / support team is too small / to busy  ...

I'd love to be able to push us to the next level, but it's just so difficult.  We're now at a point where we're too big for our current staff, and the people that are here are seriously over burdened.

Without getting too into it, it basically comes down to having to get to a point where CMSMS has to be a full-time job for someone.  But you can't really get it to that point without more free time to grow.  It's a catch-22.

Open source is hard.
