Hi Folks
It's been a while since I properly used CMSMS as I've been fighting cancer. Cancer LOST

I have recently installed latest version of CMSMS and then Company Directory.

I am completely lost. Previously very experienced with CD and used it for lots of applications.

With no templates in design manager an no examples of {calls} in the module help, I'm struggling.

How do I call a summary template and then a detail template?
How can I get multiple summary and detail tpl's in Design Manager?

Why do I get image path faults when using the basic php in the standard templates?

I'm trying to update an old hobby fishing website which went stale a while ago. During lockdown, this is just what I need to keep my head straight.

I'm so lost, I'm actually considering wordpress (euch).

Please can someone share their knowledge with me?

I've found CompanyDirectory is now overkill for most of my clients, so unless I need some very specific features of CD I've switched to using LISE.

I know that doesn't answer your questions about CD but I just wanted to make sure you didn't feel like you were alone in being overwhelmed by it

Can I ask you some questions?

I found the $entry->fields feature in CD Summary & Details very useful and intended them for my fishing website.
Does LISE have similar? Is it obvious to configure?

Would you mind if I asked a few questions and probed your experience if I get stuck?

It has lots of field types you can add yourself, and the basic usage is quite simple - just start with the included templates and copy/customize them as needed. I usually copy them to a generic DM template and just put the {include...} tag in the LISE template, as it doesn't support DM templates natively.

You can ask questions, but there's a *lot* of information in the forums and other websites you should utilize first. LISE started its life as ListIt, so sometimes including that in your search can help.

I got around it by installing an older version of CD and its dependencies.

There was another issue with CD and Smartimage. I was getting a php memory limit error message despite raising the mem to 32 and 64 and 128 m

I bypassed the smartimage path in the summary and detail templates.

I think CD is an excellent module, but cannot understand why there are no standard templates within it. My time away from web design during my recovery has left me very behind on updates.
