Hi folks,

Any assistance greatly accepted.

Thought I'd fixed the Company Directory issue by managing to remove the older module and installing a clean version of 1.903.

I re-entered all of my Company listing data and on my PC, in Chrome, it all seems to work.

When anyone else views the Directory, or if I use IE, Edge, Firefox etc I get a white page and Server 500 error.

Error log on the server has this error:

I haven't edited any of the default template files.

Have cleared the site cache, as well as my browser caches etc.

CMSMS v 2.2.10
Php 7.2.25 (as suggested in one post I saw, but if I try going back to 7.1 the whole site gives me a Server 500 error)
MySQL Server version: 10.1.43-MariaDB - MariaDB Server
Protocol version: 10

Any pointers, please, as to where to look to fix this?

Not really sure what the intent of your comment is. Because nobody knew the answer in order to help you, you're going to make sure anyone else running into this problem struggles too?

I respond to a dozen or so posts a week on here, often setting up installs to match the OP's so I can recreate their issues. I wasn't able to recreate your issue so I didn't have an answer for you.

Ok, I apologise, but it's typical of so many posts I see here, stating "I fixed it" but with no solution.

The solution - since it was totally perplexing that I could see the Company Directory page but no one else could - Turn off Caching for the page that holds the tag to call the Directory listing.

I could see the page since Smarty Caching or the "Cachable" Option is disabled by default for Admins, whether that option is ticked for the page or not, so anyone trying to recreate the issue would fall foul of that as well.

From the Smarty Caching Help popup:

When enabled, the output from various plugins will be cached to increase performance. Additionally, most portions of compiled templates will be cached. This only applies to output on content pages marked as cachable, and only for non-Admin users. Note, this functionality may interfere with the behaviour of some modules or plugins, or plugins that use non-inline forms.

Note: When smarty caching is enabled, global content blocks (GCBs) are always cached by smarty, and user defined tags (UDTs) are never cached. Additionally, content blocks are never cached.
