Improving the edit tag

Hi,
I've just learned about and tried the {edit} tag and I have a concern about it.
If the site has content managers, non-tech users just editing text, they want the edit link in the template and after login they can go to the page using the usual site menu and click the edit link. This works fine.
When they are finished editing they end up in the "edit page" page of the admin interface. Not good.
I suggest that {edit} has a two new parameters:
-return_to_self that returns the user to the edited page afterwards
-return_page_id=X that return the user to some page id X
Can I hope for something like this?
Kind regards
Tomas Albinsson
