I want to change the sentences that appear in the footer:

Code: Select all

© Copyright 2004-2006 - CMS Made Simple
This site is powered by CMS Made Simple version 1.0.2
I wish to know if the CMS M S team does not make any rescriction on this or if he wishes that users give to Cesare what is Cesar's. In this case, what can I do? Can I remove

Code: Select all

© Copyright 2004-2006 - CMS Made Simple
or

Code: Select all

This site is powered by CMS Made Simple version 1.0.2
or both?
Thank you.

This has been discussed in other threads.  Essentially, since this CMS is open-source and licensed accordingly, the author(s) can't stop you from removing the copyright information or changing the footer in any way.  BUT, since they've made this CMS available at no charge, and they continue to improve it, it would seem a bit ungrateful to not provide any acknowledgement...

I agree, as I have written in the subject. Since my english is not very good, I try to make the question in other words: Which is the better way I can change the copyright string, giving the right credit to CMS M S team, but also adding my name (the name of the person who has written the content of the web site build with CMS M S ?
Thank you.

I just change the bit after the copyright to my name, and leave the CMSMS link.
You alter it in global content/footer
