Dear,

I'm new to CMSMS (and a beginner on linux)
I'm helping a non-profit bird sanctuary who didn't do any upgrade from cmsms 1.2.3. The host is one.com
The PHP got upgraded to 7.1 which resulted in problems with cmsms
I don't see an option to revert the PHP version

Trying to follow the cmsms upgrade path I'm now on 1.5.4. The system says :
Error: Cannot write to /customers/3/d/f/xxxxxx/httpd.www/config.php.

I chmod the config.php to 666 (is rw now) using SSH
Still the error persists

Any help really appreciated

Thanks

Danny

Might be an ownership issue, but I think you're also likely to have trouble doing all of the upgrade steps unless you can switch to an older PHP version during the early version upgrades.

You may wish to copy the site to a development server where you have more control, do the upgrade, then copy it back.

And please note that One.com does NOT support phar (php extension) which will prevent you from upgrading to CMSMS 2.x.

Oh, not possible to upgrade to 2.x ?
Thank you for that info, you have saved me quite a bit of time.

Back to the owners and see where they want to go from here

Thanks again.

(don't now if topics need closing ? if so, please do, and thanks again)

Just on terrible hosts. You can always copy it to a good host, do the upgrade, then copy it back to the terrible one.

Orrrrrrr people could stop giving money to bad hosts and move to good ones.
