Danish (or foreign) characters in menus

Hi, great CMS,really.
Iv'e stumbled into one big problem for me!
i want to use danisg characters, like æøåLØÅ in my menus but they show up very strange.
I use utf-8 characterseti n my template, but my menus i can't show danish characters (special characters).
They show up with
instead.
How can i fix this?
